Brian Jordan’s second inning grand slam off Aaron Heilman put Atlanta in control of the game. The Mets countered with two in the fifth (including a Jose Reyes homer), but Chipper Jones made it 5-2 with a homer of his own in the bottom of the inning. In the sixth through eighth, the Braves stranded six runners but did add one with a two-out rally off Braden Looper in the eighth. Brady Anderson led off the ninth with a pinch-hit double and did come around to score to make the final 6-3 Atlanta.
